Overview
EBD was contracted to demolish a former Bethlehem Steel facility. In preparation for the demolition, friable asbestos was manually abated. Non-friable roofing and window components were demolished with the structure as a controlled demolition.
EBD was able to systematically demolish the structure so that the brick walls were able to be removed and recycled as hard fill rather than being disposed of in the landfill. In addition, all steel was decontaminated and recycled.
